Why this matters

The people behind the music are part of the work.

Music organizations ask a lot of the people who keep things moving. Touring, production, performance, teaching, management, events, and creative work can involve long hours, unpredictable schedules, financial uncertainty, high pressure, and very little room to recover.

Mental health support doesn’t have to be another generic workplace presentation that has nothing to do with the people sitting in the room.

Musician Therapy Studio brings a clinical perspective and an understanding of the specific pressures that can come with music and creative work.

What I can provide

Practical support for real situations.

Workshops & education

Focused mental health education for musicians, crews, staff, educators, and creative teams.

Mental health skills

Practical education around anxiety, burnout, stress, nervous-system regulation, boundaries, and sustainable work habits.

Performance & creative pressure

Education and discussion around performance anxiety, perfectionism, self-criticism, and the pressure that comes with being seen.

Resource navigation

Help organizations understand what kinds of mental health resources may be useful for the people they serve.

Possible formats

The format can match the organization.

Different organizations have different needs. A one-time workshop may make sense for one group, while another may want a series of conversations throughout the year.

01

One-time workshops

A focused session built around a specific mental health topic or challenge facing your organization.

02

Workshop series

Several sessions that build on one another and give a team more opportunity to learn and apply new skills.

03

Organization-specific education

Content shaped around the actual environment, audience, and challenges your organization is dealing with.

04

Resource conversations

A conversation about gaps in mental health support and what resources could be useful for your community.

Topics can include

Start with what your people are actually dealing with.

Burnout

Recognizing burnout, understanding what keeps it going, and making recovery more realistic.

Anxiety

Understanding anxiety and practical ways to respond when stress starts running the show.

Nervous-system regulation

Understanding the body’s stress response and practical regulation strategies.

Performance anxiety

Working with nerves, fear of judgment, perfectionism, and performance pressure.

Boundaries

Managing work demands, availability, relationships, and the pressure to keep saying yes.

Sustainable creative work

Making room for rest, relationships, health, and a life outside the work.

A clinical perspective

Education isn’t therapy. It can still make a difference.

Workshops and organizational education are educational services, not a substitute for individual mental health treatment. They can give people useful information, language, and practical strategies while helping an organization think more intentionally about mental health.

When someone needs individual therapy, Musician Therapy Studio can also provide information about available therapy services and other appropriate resources.
