The Basics
About therapy at this studio.
-
Who do you work with?
Musicians, producers, engineers, managers, music teachers, tour crew, and people in the creative space. We also welcome fans and music lovers whose lives are shaped by this world. If music plays a big role in your life, you belong here.
-
What do therapy sessions look like?
Sessions are a mix of conversation, humor when it fits, and tools that actually work. Some days we get into deep stuff. Other times it is about sorting through a week that felt weird. Everything is grounded in science-based methods and shaped around what works best for you.
-
What can I talk about in therapy?
Anything that is weighing on you. That could mean anxiety about performing, burnout from back-to-back shows, imposter feelings, relationship stress, substance use, or just feeling off. You do not need a crisis to reach out. This space is for healing, support, reflection, and growth.
-
What therapy approaches do you use?
A science-backed mix based on what works for you, including cognitive behavioral therapy and nervous system regulation approaches to help shift thoughts, patterns, and behaviors that feel stuck. Treatment is tailored to you, not a one-size approach.
-
What if I am not sure I need therapy?
That is okay. A lot of people start therapy just wanting to feel better or get a handle on stress. You do not have to have everything figured out to start. The free consultation is a conversation, not a commitment. We will meet you wherever you are.
-
Do you offer online sessions?
Yes. Online therapy is available to anyone in Colorado. You can join from home, your car, a studio, or a hotel if the Wi-Fi is decent. Wherever you feel comfortable and have privacy. This allows you to access support from Denver, Boulder, or anywhere in the state.
-
How do I know which service is right for me?
The free consultation is the right place to figure that out. You do not need to arrive with a plan. We will talk through what is going on, what you are looking for, and what makes the most sense given where you are right now.
-
How long does therapy typically last?
It depends on what you are working on. Some people come with a specific thing they want to address and wrap up in a few months. Others find ongoing support useful as their career and life evolve. There is no required timeline and no pressure to stay longer than makes sense for you.
-
What is the difference between a workshop and therapy?
Workshops and intensives are structured, topic-focused sessions designed for groups or organizations. They cover specific challenges like performance anxiety or burnout, and are available for venues, labels, schools, and industry organizations. Individual and group therapy are ongoing, personal, and go deeper. Both have their place depending on what you need.
-
Can I do individual therapy and group therapy at the same time?
Yes, and for many people the combination is particularly effective. Individual sessions give you space to work through your specific situation. Group sessions add the dimension of being understood by people who genuinely share your world. The two tend to reinforce each other well.
